Based in the suburbs of Chicago, Wintrust, a financial services company, sought to create a customer contact center that was attractive and suitable to develop a communal office culture. Having successfully executed projects together in the past, Wintrust commissioned Stantec to design the space. Their focus on designing with the community in mind and the value they place in their client relationships made them an ideal partner for this project.

Stantec knew the space needed to break the mold of call centers and the stereotype of suburban offices. Their goal was to create a destination, a location clients and employees wanted to experience. Drawing inspiration from recent urban tech spaces the company had designed, Stantec created an office that is reminiscent of a downtown office, functional, and unique. The space has an industrial aesthetic that can be experienced starting in the elevator lobby which features a concrete floor, a wall with perforated steel signage and a laser-cut logo, and an exposed ceiling where Seem 2 luminaires are suspended in a custom pattern.

The patterns of Seem 2 suspended luminaires were designed to follow the pathways from the lobby and to take into account the abundant natural light to create a harmonious design.
