With their new Los Angeles regional office, Akerman LLP sought to create an innovative space, atypical of a law office. By revealing the waffle slab ceiling, concrete floor and hand-painted columns, and adding glass, natural stone, wood paneling, carpet, pops of red, and modern artwork, Wirt Design Group created a space with texture and a unique vibe, reflective of the firm’s brand. These finishes contrast the rawness of the exposed structure and add warmth.

The lighting is minimalist, like the rest of the modern and unconventional space, with ID+ 3.5" trimless square downlights installed in drywall ceilings, providing ambient and accent lighting in the reception area, meeting rooms, boardroom, and lounge.
