Decades after the Tampa International Airport (TIA) was designed, the son of its distinguished designer was commissioned to design the Airside C expansion. Drawing from his father’s designs, while incorporating advancements with processing booths and baggage conveyor system, the new wing gives way to the future growth of air travel. To meet TIA’s objective to enhance the travel experience for all that pass through the elevator lobby of the 315,000 square-foot facility was equipped with custom Skydome luminaires that bring interest to the ceiling while delivering ample illumination.
