Havas Worldwide, the largest European-based ad agency, had two goals in mind when redesigning their Chicago offices: to reduce their footprint and to ensure that every surface served a purpose. With the help of Gary Lee Partners, they decided to vacate a floor of their existing Chicago offices and to overhaul the existing floor plan. The now 81,000 square foot downtown office supports the creative minds and daily needs of Havas Worldwide.

Removing private office spaces that once lined the perimeter allowed natural light to radiate the space. Creating an open floor plan with breakout areas and a large “town hall” space also resulted in greater cross-departmental collaboration. The high ceiling accentuates the open concept and features suspended matte black Skydome LED pendants from Focal Point which blend seamlessly with the dark ceiling, while also providing superior performance and energy savings. The new design is reflective of the Havas culture of innovation and delivers an environment where ideas can proliferate.
