A young, tech-savvy startup making great strides in the energy industry sought to create a simple, modern, and warm office that could support future growth. MF Architecture was able to achieve the client’s goal through layout, materials, and biophilic design. The existing building perimeter lent itself to a workplace designed with individuality at is core.

The new headquarters spans one floor of a downtown Austin building. Elevating the warm aesthetic and modern vibe are concrete floors, wooden cabinets, low-profile workstations, and glass walls. While aesthetically pleasing, these hard surfaces also contribute to reverberation issues, typically a factor in open office workplaces. Seem 1 Acoustic non-illuminated baffles were suspended over the open workstations and lounge area to mitigate noise and help achieve optimal reverberations levels.
